Examiner insight

I know how marks are awarded because I've awarded them

I'm not a recent graduate working through a textbook. I spent three decades in senior teaching roles at leading independent schools, including as Head of English and Director of Digital Learning. I've assessed thousands of students, set and marked exams, and mentored countless young people to places at Oxford, Cambridge, and top universities worldwide.

That experience means I know exactly what examiners are looking for, what admissions tutors want to see, and — crucially — how to help each student get there.

How it works

A simple process from first contact to results

1

Initial conversation

A free call to understand your child's needs, current level, and goals. I'll be honest about whether I'm the right fit.

2

Assessment & planning

A diagnostic session to identify strengths and gaps, followed by a tailored programme designed around your timeline and objectives.

3

Regular sessions

Typically weekly, delivered online. Each session builds on the last, with homework and practice between meetings.

4

Progress & feedback

Regular updates for parents, honest assessment of progress, and adjustments to the programme as needed.
